How does it work?
Explore how Power Shaper, the standard modular system fom Pixii, can be scaled to meet custom requirement from 10-300kW
The Pixii PowerShaper is a complete energy storage solution for up to 30kW power conversion and 65kWh energy storage capacity. As a modular system, both power conversion and energy storage capacities are scalable to meet any requirement. The systems can be connected in parallel to achieve additional total power and energy storage capacity.
The system includes the Pixii Gateway providing advanced monitoring and control applications as well as interoperability to the outside world.

The “muscle” in the system is the Pixiibox 48/3300, a bi-directional 3,3kW AC/DC converter module.
The PowerShaper can, based on its own measurements and internal settings, support the grid autonomously or, through the Pixii Gateway, receive commands and settings from high-er level energy management systems for an optimized use of distributed flexibility resources.
With the combination of flexibility and convenient configuration, the Pixii PowerShaper can be configured to provide the specific energy storage services with the right capacities required at each site.
Power Shaper - Key services:
TOU (Time of use) cost reduction | Support loads from battery when electricity rates are high, and charge battery when electricity rates are low.
Demand charge cost reduction | Limit grid power peaks to reduce (monthly) demand charges.
PV self-consumption | Charge batteries instead of curtailing or feeding-in solar energy generation. Discharge batteries when there is no or little solar energy generation.
Back-up power | Support important loads from battery during grid outages.
Demand Response | Provide active power according to received commands.
Power congestion relief | Increase the peak power capacity beyond transformer, line or fuse constraints.
Voltage support | Providing power in remote locations during peak hours to maintain voltage.
Phase balancing | Feed power from higher-voltage phases to lower-voltage phases.
Reactive power compensation | Adjust the grid power factor by consuming or generating reactive power.
Frequency support | djust active power to/from the grid according to measured deviation from nominal grid frequency.
Micro-grid | Provide power in an isolated grid in combination with local PV and/or generators ensuring optimal utilization of solar energy and kWh/liter diesel.
Optimal generator operation | In combination with diesel generators ensure maximum useful energy per liter diesel consumed and assisting the generator to manage overloads etc. |
With the modularity the Power Shaper future proof as coming changes in demand can easily be matched by changing the number of Pixiibox converter modules.
Service and maintenance requires a minimum of training or certifications. Modules can be replaced while the system is operational and there are no dangerous DC voltages in the system.
