HAVE 2000 transforms its factory into a clean-energy hub with Pixii battery storage

Northern Bohemia has long been associated with the Czech coal industry. Today, the region is also becoming a symbol of the country’s energy transition, as local companies invest in cleaner and more resilient infrastructure.
One of them is HAVE 2000, a Czech manufacturer of industrial gates, doors, and access systems based in Osek. Together with system integrator ENADO and Pixii distributor SOLSOL, the company has deployed a large-scale solar and battery installation that supports both industrial operations and the wider electricity grid.
HAVE 2000 wanted to reduce energy costs, secure stable power for production, and create new value from its energy infrastructure through grid services.
At the same time, the company aimed to contribute to a more flexible and resilient local energy system. Together with ENADO and SOLSOL, HAVE 2000 set out to build a combined solar and battery installation capable of supporting both self-consumption and grid-balancing services.
The result is a pioneering energy installation located next to the Bílina lignite mine – a symbolic site for the Czech energy transition.
The project combines a 1.74 MWp photovoltaic power plant with a 3.3 MWh battery energy storage system based on Pixii technology. Developed and implemented over seven months through close cooperation between ENADO, SOLSOL, and Pixii, the installation is among the first large-scale battery storage systems in the Czech Republic prepared for Frequency Containment Reserve (FCR) services.
“Battery storage systems for FCR services are being prepared in the Czech Republic on a large scale, but very few have progressed in practice as far as the one in Osek. That’s why we can proudly say that we are among the first.”
Mikuláš Bindzar, Technical Director of ENADO

The installation consists of 18 Pixii PowerShaper XL units, each rated at 59.4 kW / 200 kWh, providing a total installed energy capacity of 3.3 MWh.
“Today, protecting energy data is just as important as protecting the grid itself. Pixii systems are designed so customers maintain full control over both data and operation – without dependence on non-European platforms.”
Václav Pavlík, SOLSOL
The Osek project demonstrates how industrial companies can move beyond energy consumption and become active participants in a more flexible and resilient power system.

The project shows that advanced energy technology is not limited to utilities or large-scale energy operators. With the right partners and reliable systems, industrial companies can play an active role in building more resilient and sustainable energy infrastructure across Europe.
