Flexible grid tied energy storage system 30 kW/72 kWh or 60 kW/144 kWh
The PowerShaper PoleTop from Pixii, is an IP55 complete modular energy storage system. It is fully integrated with and ready to be connected to the grid for applications as grid support, solar self consumption, demand charge reduction, peak shaving, arbitrage, FCAS and FFR services.
The PowerShaper PoleTop BESS solution is available as either a single or double cabinet solution ,with each cabinet delivering up to 30kW of power conversion and 72kWhr of energy with Polarium’s latest Gen 6 9.1kWhr NMC batteries providing high energy density and sophisticated multi level BMS and safety protection. The PowerShaper PoleTop can provide a variety of energy saving or grid supporting services. These functions can be executed autonomously or controlled by commands and settings from higher level energy management systems communicating over different protocols.
The power conversion in the PowerShaper PoleTop is achieved using the PixiiBox, a bidirectional 3,3kW AC/DC converter mod- ule. There is room for up to 9 PixiiBoxes in each cabinet.
The system includes the Pixii Gateway controller providing advanced monitoring and control applications as well as communication and interoperability via 4G and Wi- Fi either to the Pixii Cloud or directly to the network operator asset management platform.

Voltage support (DSO)
Provides dynamic voltage regulation by absorbing or injecting reactive power, helping maintain voltage levels within regulatory limits. This service enhances grid stability, reduces the risk of equipment stress, and improves power quality, supporting efficient network operation and minimizing the need for infrastructure upgrades.
Peak shaving
Lower your energy costs by reducing power consumption during peak demand periods. This helps minimize demand charges and smoothens your overall energy usage profile.
Grid support
Enhance local grid capacity by providing additional power during peak periods. This helps network operators to avoid costly infrastructure upgrades and maintain grid reliability. For commercial and industrial actors, it ensures sufficient power to support operations and avoid downtime.
Arbitrage*
Buy and store electricity when prices are low, and use it when prices rise. This strategy helps reduce costs by supporting loads from the battery during expensive peak hours.

PV self-consumption
Maximize the use of your solar energy by storing excess production for later use. This reduces reliance on the grid and increases the return on your solar investment.
Ancilliary services

FCAS (Frequency Control Ancillary Services)
Rent out battery capacity to provide immediate support in the frequency control market, helping stabilize the grid. This service prevents outages, supports virtual power plant initiatives, and generates revenue for the battery owner.
