Pixii is pleased to announce the successful delivery of our first PowerBase XL preconfigured skid solution. This marks a significant step in providing efficient energy storage solutions for energy-intensive applications.
A practical solution for energy needs
Part of the PowerShaper XL product family, the PowerBase XL offers 530kW power and 1.8MWh storage capacity. It’s designed for scalability and easy integration, making it ideal for large-scale energy demands. Delivered with batteries pre-installed, this setup reduces on-site installation time and minimizes packaging waste, aligning with our focus on efficiency and sustainability.
Enhancing Hünfeld’s renewable energy efforts
Our first PowerBase XL has been delivered to the city of Hünfeld, where it will be used at the local wastewater treatment plant. The plant, powered by a newly built almost 1MWp photovoltaic (PV) park, consistently uses around 200kW, day and night.

With the PowerBase XL, the plant can store excess solar energy during the day and use it at night, cutting electricity costs, reducing dependence on the grid, and providing more stability against changing energy prices.

By enabling the plant to use stored solar energy, Hünfeld is also reducing its carbon footprint, making the wastewater treatment process more environmentally friendly. This project serves as a model for other municipalities looking to integrate renewable energy solutions.
